Don't be lulled into thinking your apartment landlord will be responsible for personal property lost as a result of theft, fire, flood and any other reason. Your Houston apartment lease may or may not include renter's insurance.

If you're lease does not include a provision for renter's insurance, purchase it from a reputable insurance agent.
